About a month ago, Needs of the Many broke a story about a local radio station in his town running an ad for an actress to play the part of a rape victim in an anti-Palin ad.
"The actress should be 15-19, and “break your heart” without saying a word. Her role is that of a victim of incest or rape who is now pregnant, and “forced to keep her child b/c Roe v. Wade overturned means no exception for rape or incest.”
It's a pretty disgusting story, but it's not the first time. Jonathan Martin of Politico has more on how the Obama campaign went out and tried to find Wasilla rape victims to use in more commercials.
Barack Obama's campaign earlier this month sought to find a rape victim to appear in a campaign commercial, according to an e-mail obtained by Politico.
Kiersten Steward, director of public policy at the Family Violence Prevention Fund, served as a conduit between the campaign and victims and women's advocates
Add to this the Planned Parenthood flyer that arrived at my house pedaling the Sarah Palin wanted rape victims to pay for their rape kits smear, and toss in Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill stating on This Week With George Stephanopolous that John McCain wanted to throw women who were raped into jail.
The line of attack that will most likely raise the most eyebrows was McCaskill's assertions about what the McCain-Palin ticket would do on the issue of abortion. "This is a ticket that wants to put women in prison for having an abortion after they've been raped," McCaskill said.
These are your new masters, should the polls turn out correct. This is the kind of positive new politics that so many Obama supporters are pushing. But don't take my word for it.
