Communists In The Midst

Charles Jaco asked Ed Martin on Sunday why Tea Party folks make accusations of socialism and Marxism in regard to Obama's policies.  The answer, from a Tea Partier, should be clear. It's because the people who are put in positions of power in the Obama administration and the close coordination with outside coalitions staffed by socialists and Marxists.

We're not talking about communists who dabbled in college by sleeping with a copy of Das Kapital next to them after a night of heavy drinking.  We're talking about self-professed, "Lenin is great," "Rosa Luxembourg didn't get her props" and "imperialism is the last stage of capitalism" communists.

And they're here.  They're here in Missouri.  Some wear the badge proudly.  Some hide their affiliation now that they are in the limelight.  They are all coming out.

Set aside for a moment the disgust normal people have for an ideology that destroys countries and murdered 100 million people worldwide in the 20th century. Set aside the anger of our warriors and their loved ones who fought this menace and died on foreign soil to prevent the subjugation of the human race.  We're talking about today, and the goal of the communists in our midst.

And then, we're going to show you their funding. We're going to show how taxpayer dollars have gone to fund the most radical elements of our society, in a shell game that would make any Wall Street banker proud.  

You're on notice.  We're coming for you.  And even the Post Dispatch won't be able to cover it up this time.  No prosecutor will be able to hide the charges.  No media spin will make it go away.

All I ask of you the reader is to read the evidence I'll be presenting you carefully, and then begin to put pressure on those in positions of trust to do something.  The evidence is clear and incontrovertible. Your money is funding communists who work to destroy our society, and who could not function without the public largesse.  Those like Jaco who scoff at the idea of communists and socialists are just plain lazy.  Charles Jaco is a buffoon who can't do simple research, and later today I'll start to lay out the story.  

Police Sit Down With Patricia Redington For An Update On Gladney

In honor of Dana's document showing that County Counselor Patricia Redington filed assault charges against Richard Gephardt's election opponent after just two days, I've made a quick movie explaining just what the county counselor is doing.

Redington's first year as the County Counselor must have been a little different than now.  Filing flimsy charges against a Republican on a national holiday is an awfully public way to start off.  You better be real confident that the press will play along to make those kinds of decisions.  Contrast that quick action with the three months that have passed without charges filed against Cheryl Johner, Elston McCowan, Perry Molens, Brian Matthews, and Javonne Spitz.

I didn't know that HCAN membership included a Get Out Of Jail Free card.

This is how I figure a meeting between Redington and the St Louis County police would go down.

It's funny because it could happen.

What makes Jean Carnahan tick? Let's ask her.

"It’s certainly not the pay or the praise that comes with running an edgy blog that exposes chicanery and ineptness in the body politic."

Now I'm not privy to what Jean Carnahan gets paid, or what she pays Sean Nicholson to write personal attacks against her children's political opponents, but I do know she likes to mix it up online.  Whether she's talking about teabagging, birthers, rightwing mobs with pitchforks, village idiots, or her favorite target, Sarah Palin, Jean Carnahan brings a particularly nasty brand of invective to the online discourse. As disgraceful as it is to watch a former US Senator sink to the level of Wonkette to get her point across, Jean should get some leeway - she is a Carnahan, and there are certain privileges associated with that name.

When not taking vacations to five star resorts in Italy and Australia on the taxpayer dime, the Carnahans like to mingle with the commoners, giving us a taste of their glory and majesty.  Luckily, the good citizens of the video brigade were able to catch a rare moment of mother-son bonding on the street of some Missouri town in the midst of a campaign stop. 

Senator Carnahan fears for the Republic.  She worries we're too stupid to understand just how great her family is.  These are her exact words:

"There is lots of evidence that we are not producing enough discerning citizens today able to judge what is rot and what it not. Thank goodness for the blogosphere. Conscientious bloggers are to be commended for speaking truth to power. Somebody’s got to do it."

On behalf of the conscientious bloggers who stand proudly before you instead of groveling for scraps from your taxpayer-funded table, we accept your kind words, Jean.  

The Impact Of Big Government On Small Business

The Bush tax cuts are set to expire next year.  Caps on Medicare and Social Security are going to be raised and lifted.  Cap and Trade, ineffective stimulus, busted entitlement programs, and pogroms against private firms and small business have made us all a little uneasy about investing capital.

I'm a small businessman.  This year, we were prepped to hire another employee, and as many as three.  The plan was to have as many as five new hires by next year.  These would be fully employed, well-paid, and insured workers, varying in skill level.  Our plans included hiring skilled empoyees, an entry level, and finding someone who was unemployed who could learn a new skill.

We decided against that.  Instead, we retired our debt.  We looked everywhere we could to pay off personal and corporate debt, holding off on a new car purchase, cutting back on luxuries, and hoarding cash for an uncertain 2010. 

In some ways that was an easy decision.  Debt levels have a way of increasing once in place, but the price of stability was growth.  We are poised to do well next year, but we won't see a tripling of our revenue like originally forecast.  Unlike many people who blame the economy, our company isn't suffering from a lack of work.  New and old clients want our services, but we simply don't have time to sell, manage, and execute all of the work.  Hiring someone new and training them is a risk to any small business.  The loss of time if they don't work out, the constant pressure on cash flow, and the amount of paperwork necessary to effect a hire just isn't worth it.  In most cases, the employee would at best break even after a year, and even if they were successful, it would necessitate more hiring to fill the gap between work sold and work performed.

In normal conditions, the promise of a payoff makes it worth it.  The thought of selling the company for millions after five or ten years is a powerful incentive.  It's worth the risk of losing everything in bankruptcy if you hire poorly or if the economy just tanks.  Looking at our national debt level, and the complete lack of fiscal sanity from our leaders, affects my decision to bring on more risk.

The conclusion we've reached is that we can do quite well on our own.  We don't need to hire this year, and so we're focusing on profitable business and automated processes.  It's less satisfying, but the risk profile is very low.  No matter what happens, we'll be okay.

But that person we would have hired?  The clients who could have used our services to improve their businesses and save money?  The taxes paid into the system by productive citizens and companies?  I don't know how they'll do.

What I do know is that my decision is mirrored by dozens of my acquaintances, and probably tens of thousands of others like me around the country.  In our own ways, we're all going John Galt - some by choice, some by necessity.

If you are lacking in employment - or know someone who is, think about the impact that all of these business owners have on your communities.  If you are a young person starting out, ask yourself what voting for people who promised you bigger government has gotten you.  In the next year, we are going to find out if the government can create prosperity.  It has never worked before, but maybe, just maybe, this time it will.

And next year, vote accordingly.

Progressive Digital Brownshirts Defend Violence In Politics

The Gladney story is coming live on BigGovernment, first with the Gladney police report, than with a series of escalating stories focusing on the lack of charges, the character assassination of those involved and the disappearance of the story from the mainstream media. 

This is all you need to know.  Political supporters of the healthcare bill attacked two people outside a Townhall in St Louis, and no one has had to answer for that crime.

The new tack from Media Matters seems to be that violence is no big deal.  Misdemeanor assault used to frighten away political opponents is now no of interest to the Soros funded attack machine.  Attacking leukemia survivors and women to get the point across that dissent will be not allowed is now considered a tired story.

It's disgusting, but is it more disgusting than the lack of attention from the Post Dispatch, local news, and the district attorney's office?

I've maintained from the beginning that the story from Kenneth was real, and that the police report and subsequent charges would clear his name. I was half-right.  To clear his name, those charges have to be filed, and it's about time that this moved forward. Two people were attacked, and the only conclusion we can reach is that SEIU labor goons with a history of intimidation are being protected by someone who doesn't want the story to come out.  This could be cleared up with a phone call from the Post Dispatch, but they do nothing. 

As to the seriousness of the charges, what possible reason would there be to hire Paul D'Agrosa for what Media Matters says is no big deal?  Why does no one from SEIU or the crack McCowan/Molens defense team speak out?  Where are the witnesses that will back up McCowan's second story?

There are none.  No one will speak out and perjure themselves for SEIU.  Keep that in mind.

Adam Shriver, the left wing blogger already outed as a fraud who created an anonymous blog to attack the St Louis Tea Party is out making stories up again, attempting to define for us what makes a credible witness.  Apparently, silence is the only story he will accept.  Adam is a nobody, but he represents those progressives who are so lost in their need to be a part of something, they don't care about individuals.

I've said before he thinks this is a game.  Ask yourself what kind of person accuses witnesses to an assault case of perjury, with no evidence or knowledge other than his need to quiet them.  Progressives like Adam and those paid shills at Media Matters are sending their own message.  When violence doesn't work, they will use their voices to drag you into the mud.  The only acceptable action is acquiescence.  Shut up, and don't you dare speak out when attacked. 

It's not enough that Kenneth was beaten and now finds himself at the center of a story he wants no part of.  He is not a conservative activist, but instead was a vendor trying to make money while unemployed.  Scumbags like Adam Shriver and Eric Boehlert of Media Matters want to make sure he keeps quiet because his story provesthe length SEIU and its allies at HCAN are willing to go.  And if anyone else dares to stand up to them, they too will pay a price.

Remember those names.  Adam Shriver and Eric Boehlert.  They are doing violence to Kenneth Gladney as surely as the fists and feet of Perry Molens.  Their goal is not the truth of what happened that night, but the silence of the victims.  In their world, violence in the service of the greater good is not only necessary, it is defensible. 

Document Parties Update, Update

Glenn Beck Has Kenneth Gladney Police Report

Don't have time to follow this up today - but Glenn Beck is asking why charges haven't been filed in the Gladney case.  He has the police report, and reads off a pretty graphic description of the assault from an eyewitness.  I went down to the County Courthouse to get a copy of the police report a few weeks ago, and was told it was under investigation - all that was available was a one page document stating there was an arrest.  The question in front of us is why nothing has been said or done about it since August.  With HCAN coming to St Louis November 14th for their national conference, I'm wondering if we won't have some fun prosecutorial fireworks to greet them.  And then maybe the Post-Dispatch can tell us why their reports have been so poorly written.

Keep in mind there were two assaults that night.  The second assault against a campaign for liberty volunteer was caught on video.  No charges have been filed in that case, either, despite a police officer witnessing the assault.  Here's the Beck video.

Todd Akins Steps Up To Lead On Healthcare Reform

I've never met Todd Akin, and don't know anyone who works for him, but maybe I should give him a call.

Congressman Todd Akin (R-MO) hosted the meeting of a dozen Hill conservatives who’ve had enough. The meeting was to help Michele Bachmann, and other originators of the House Call protest, retain control of the event and the message.

Until now, Mr. Akin and a few others in this Gang of 12 preferred keeping a low profile.  Emboldened by the grass roots effect in New York’s 23rd Congressional District race, Akin is determined to go on offensive for conservative principles rather than just fending off Democrat advances. Last week, for example, Akin recruited eight House Republicans to endorse Conservative Party candidate, Doug Hoffman, in the NY-23 race, even while the National Republican Congressional Committee was pumping hundreds of thousands of dollars to boost Scozzafava.

Tuesday’s meeting included Rep. Steve King (R-IA), Ms. Bachmann, Doctors Paul Broun and Phil Gingrey (Rs-GA), Dr. Michael Burgess (R-TX), and others who are willing to take on their own party’s heirarchy. According to Mr. Akin, “This steering committee is full of risk takers who’ve been pushed out of their comfort zone” and are willing to fight for principle. Akin cited an emerging “sense of camaraderie among conservatives” in the House.

FiredUp Authors Head For The Hills

Don't say we don't get results. After several series on the links between FiredUpMissouri authors, Missouri Democratic operatives, and an as yet to be resolved leak of documents directly from the Secretary of State's office, the authors at FiredUp have all gone silent.

In the month of October, 183 posts were written.  Every single one of them was written and posted by Sean Nicholson.

It's almost as if someone told them to cool it before they got caught.  Of course, the problem now is that if Sean is the only one writing, than how exactly can the site continue to function as community?  At some point, they're going to have to look at the impact FiredUp has on Missouri politics, and realize that impact is pretty small.  Donors, whose identities are masked but aren't hard to figure out, are going to start wondering what they're paying for.  Reporters no longer trust FiredUp, and if FUM can't get state documents, what good are they?

Personally, I'm hoping we find the donor checks and donor emails in our document searches.  The goal of 24thstate has always been clean government, and paying some hack to churn out gossip and personal attacks is a slight to all the hard working bloggers out there, who are unpaid, unaffiliated, and remind politicians they are being watched.
