Obama Finally Comes Around To Republican Spending Freeze Legislation

One of the problems with being a hack is when events and politicians turn on you, you get left holding the bag.  In this case, the President plans to call for a three year spending freeze on domestic programs. 

FiredUp has provided me with a lot of fun research the last few days, but none more than this little nugget from April 1st.

Blunt calls for five-year federal spending freeze

Now to be fair, Blunt was asking for five years, and Obama is only asking for three, so I guess it's really Republican Chuck Grassley's three year freeze that Obama is finally coming around to. 

Yes, a three year spending freeze was called INSANE! by ThinkProgress.

Fake FiredUp poster Blunt Ed agreed, but since he's not posting anymore, maybe we can get Sean (or Russ) to clarify - is Obama's three year spending freeze also INSANE?

Which is it.  Is it fundamental fiscal brilliance or insanity?

C'mon... who decides what programs get frozen ? One guess, my friends. BHO's announcement of a freexe was followed immediately by grand new (spending) plans...light rail, "job-creating" stimulus. No end in sight

Freeze Congress's salaries, and pensions. That's the "solution" outside the beltway....so goose and gander...
