If you're quoting the story, don't forget to add, "As first reported by 24thstate.com."
It helps to have friends in low places, and it doesn't get lower than the bars where Democrats hang out crying in their frozen vodka drinks. It's a good place to pick up an occasional story, like:
President Obama is coming to St Louis March 10th for a fundraiser for Claire McCaskill. It's going to be at the Chaifetz Arena at Saint Louis University.
I didn't believe it at first. Why would Obama come to St Louis for a fundraiser for a Senator not up for reelection until 2012? Why give the money to Claire, when Robin needs it so desperately, and when Russ is scrambling at the last second to bring in cash in the last day of the quarter (or later). And then I remembered that McCaskill was an early Obama supporter (despite the lie she told about her daughter finally convincing her), and carries water for the Obama administration, and...
Oh, yeah - Obama isn't exactly the right draw for any candidate these days. Bringing in Obama to help Russ and Robin would be like bringing saltwater to a thirsty castaway. It's just mean.
So Obama comes in - gets some nice press from the fawning local media, and no one associates him with either of the Carnahans.
I guess that's why Robin pulled that picture of the two of them.*see below*
March 10th. St Louis University. You heard it here first.
If you look through the internet archive for the carnahanformissouri.com site (her 2008 re-election campaign), you can see that she has removed the picture of Obama and Robin together.
Despite my considerable research skills, I can't find this picture (though I should be able to), and in fact, I can't find any pictures of Robin Carnahan with Obama.
Hmmm. It's almost as if she wants to pretend that she's not associated with a president with falling approval numbers and a radical progressive agenda.

Oh joy! I can't wait to be there, OUTSIDE, showing my displeasure with Obama AND Claire.
Let's have a teaparty! I am certain there will be more people outside the arena vs inside...even if they DO bus SEIU workers in from other areas.

Can one candidate funnel money to another candidate?

Obama is toxic to everyone except the real deluded apparatchiks. I hate these two commies as much as satan.

Two things:
1)What time is this grandiose event?
2)Yes, one candidate can funnel $$$ to another.

Thank God for great leadership! It won't be easy but President Obama is up to the task of cleaning up after 8 years of failures, the Bush Recession and invading a sovereign nation with no ties to 911 for political gain!

No reason to bash Obama it's not his fault our country was ran by people who only care about themselves and didn't have a clue what they were doing for 8 years. He's the one trying to clean up the mess we're in! I love how people blame him for everything um..hello he hasn't been in office that long to cause all of these problems they were here long before he ran for president!

Megan,
you do realize Obama spent two years in the Senate and then decided that he had enough experience to tackle these problems and fix them?
He spent two years telling us how he was going to fix everything. The Stimulus was going to stop unemployment at 8% and bring it down. The world would love us. Congress would be ethical.
None of it has happened. The deficit has exploded, so far that this month's deficit is bigger than the average yearly deficit under Bush.
And Obama was in the Senate for four years of those.
Let's judge him on his actions. He's not cleaning up anything.
