Russ Carnahan's Office Target Of Arson

Read this in the PD.

Don't know what kind of disturbed individual would do such a thing - I haven't checked with anyone, but I feel confident that I can go ahead and speak for the St Louis Tea Party and all affiliated conservatives in loudly denouncing any act of violence by any person.

There is never a time when any act of violence or terror is acceptable in politics.

It sounds like they have some guy under arrest.  Good.

We want Russ Carnahan soundly defeated and the polls and embarrassed from ever seeking office again.  Violence, threats, and arson work against our purpose, and should never be tolerated in word or deed by freedom-loving patriots.

That said, we better not see a fundraising letter going out from Carnahan about this.  And we withhold public statement on the alleged perp until we know who it is.  Attacks on both Democrats and Republicans in recent years have turned out to be hoaxes and attempts to drum up media.

These people are disturbed people looking for attention. Let's not give them what they want.  Condemn the action, but let's not pretend this is anything other than a whackjob looking for attention. 

And one quibble with the Post Dispatch story.

Apart from Martin, Carnahan is weathering a tumultuous political environment. A year ago, several people were arrested at a Carnahan town hall forum after a fracas broke out between protesters and Carnahan supporters

Actually, two SEIU staff members were arr1sted for allegedly assaulting a street vendor, an OFA supporter was arrested and pled guilty to assaulting a woman with a camera, and two activists were arrested and for interfering with police.  Then a reporter was arrested after the fact for interfering.

There was no fracas. There were two incidents of assault, one substantiated, the other going to trial.

I understand they've arrested a suspect. It will be interesting to learn what his motivations were, but I'm pretty confident he was NOT in any way affiliated with the St Louis Area's Conservative Grassroot Organizations! Wouldn't surprise me a bit to learn it was a Carny Staffer!!

Prediction: The suspect will be a Carny Staffer who was embezzling from the campaign & set the fire to cover it up! Documents in the "Finance Office" were burned! See this from KTVI:

"Campaign staff said the room that was targeted is the finance office. They would not allow Fox 2 cameras inside, saying there is too much sensitive campaign and financial information on display. They did allow a reporter to look around. There were charred documents, some burned electronic equipment, and the walls and ceiling were gray from smoke damage. There is a strong smell of smoke in the back half of the office, but the front offices were not at all impacted. Campaign staff also released a photo of the damage, snapped by one of them."

I don't know why no one on the Right is stating the obvious, especially when Tea Partiers have proven their non-violent attitude time and again:
That this is very likely a publicity stunt pulled by the Carnahan cabal themselves. He is RUNNING SCARED, and I put no limit on the level he will stoop to.

The only violence seen has been from the left.
This is not denial, this is a comprehension of the kind of people we are opposing.
