St Louis Tea Party press release.
(October 4, 2010) In a very assuring move, Congressman Roy Blunt, Candidate for Senate, signed on to the Tea Party Treaty today at St Louis Tea Party Coalition Headquarters.
As the first Candidate in the up-coming election who currently holds a Public Office, this is a very bold statement from his campaign. What does it say, you may ask? It says that he has heard the voice of his Constituents, and is backing them up. Likewise, based upon the duality of this Treaty, the Tea Party Organizations signed onto the Treaty are willing to back up Elected Officials who may be under pressure to vote against the will of the people, once elected.
Congressman Blunt met and addressed a small group of citizens this morning at the St Louis Tea Party Headquarters. After sitting in on an open question and answer with constituents, the Congressman signed the Tea Party Treaty. While the signature was signed and dated “10-3-10”, he chuckled that “I was already on board with this yesterday”.
The St Louis Tea Party Coalition does not take this move lightly, rather, as a statement of re-dedication to the constituents, as well as Constitutional Principles across the board. STLTPC celebrates this relationship with great enthusiasm as a victory for America, for the Government, but mostly, for all of us, the American People.
